“All at sea” is the larger brother of “Sandy Gully” in a two painting series (is two a series?) conceived from the same visit to the location. An intense storm swell at Sandy Gully Beach in Aireys Inlet. It depicts a wild ocean of unimaginable conditions. It’s takes my mind to a time when this coast was littered with shipwrecks and what a harrowing experience it must have been to be driven aground on one of the numerous reefs that dot the Great Ocean Road coastline.
