Luke Hallam - Bio
Luke is a contemporary seascape and landscape painter, with a focus on the natural and affected environment.
A father of three thriving children, husband to a passionately creative wife and lover of the ocean.
After spending many years living and working on one of the most picturesque sections of the world-famous Great Ocean Road, on the Surf Coast of Victoria in Australia. Luke recently relocated to the Northern Rivers region of NSW, living in Murwillumbah, in the shadow of Mount Warning, nestled between the rainforest and the sea, there is another lifetime of landscapes to explore (and a new coast just down the road).
"Growing up on the beach and in the bush, I have a deep connection to the area and find endless inspiration in the ocean and landscape to fuel my creative output."
Born 1976 in Geelong, Luke grew up and resides in Anglesea on the Surf Coast. Completing his secondary schooling in Geelong, while focusing on art and design subjects. Later graduating from Deakin University, Warrnambool with a Bachelor of Arts (visual arts) in 1996.
Having held his first solo exhibition in Melbourne in 2009, Luke's work is held in numerous private art collections around the world.
